Run on FFP2 masks

Due to the high number of Swiss corona cases, the demand for FFP2 masks is currently increasing. These not only protect the people in the area, but also reliably protect the wearer. But how do you check the quality of such masks?

Masks prevent the wearer from infecting people around them with viruses or other pathogens through exhaled droplets (aerosols). According to experts, the mask wearer himself is only protected to a limited extent because many masks are permeable to aerosols. So masks do not offer 100% protection. But some are more effective than others - models with an FFP2 filter, for example. FFP2 masks make sense when you are surrounded by many people. For example in full public transport, at gatherings and of course when contacting infected people.

However, the protective masks sold in this country are often incorrectly declared. Anyone who buys online has at least the opportunity to view the test reports and / or manufacturer certificates and thus convince themselves of the quality.

How is a CE-certified FFP2 mask correctly marked?

1. CE & four digit number
2. Name of the mask
3. Standard & year of publication
4. Classification: FFP2

Fairmask - tested masks at fair prices

Fairmask.ch has set itself the goal of counteracting the price craze and the unfortunately often poor mask quality. For months, the Swiss web shop has had the fairest price at just under CHF 20 per hygiene mask, CHF 0.29 per CE-marked medical mask type IIR, CHF 1.80 for KN95 protective masks and CHF 2.95 for CE-certified FFP2 masks. All products have been checked, correctly declared and available from a Swiss warehouse.

More and more companies are making masks available

Fairmask also supports companies and institutions in getting the right protective mask at fair prices. From the hairdresser or the (dental) doctor's practice, to schools and universities, to large companies, the range varies from simple hygiene masks to CE-marked medical masks of type IIR to CE-certified FFP2 protective masks.
